Champion helmets
I'm not convinced that's always true. I've most definitely got an oval head (with a narrow face and fairly flat sides - actually, almost rectangular!), but Champion hats fitted me, not Charles Owen.
Champion helmets
I always thought the Champions fit oval heads and Charles Owen the rounder ones. I have a Champion which fits me nicely. When I've tried COs they've been really tight front to back and gappy at the sides, Gatehouses are even worse on me.
my narrow and tall head has tried on almost every MIPS helmet at this point, including those that supposedly work for oval heads, and the Pardus is the first that feels 'oval' enough.
I have an oval head and like my Back on Track Pardus very much. It has a dial fit that I did not think I would like, but I do.
A rider whose Champion MIPS didn't fit her oval-ish head chose a Trauma Void Lynx for her next helmet, and a buyer who tried on a Trauma Void EQ3 found it a perfect fit.
Champion MIPS did not fit my oval-ish head. I knew this, but I figured I'd try it out as I was looking for a second helmet (I typically keep 2 in rotation) & never had a Champion helmet before. CO fits me best - and I think my 2nd helmet purchase will be going back to the Trauma Void Lynx.
Trauma Void EQ3
Just tried it on and it is a perfect fit!
Riders call Equinavia comfortable, adjustable for hair up or down, and well made for the price.
Just love this helmet. Looks great, very comfortable, love that it is adjustable (for hair up and hair down)
Equinavia helmets
The Equinavia helmet is made better than any helmet I've ever seen, especially for that price.

We'd rather you buy the right helmet than the wrong one from us. Riders who stay with a Champion have good reasons.
If you can find a Revolve X-Air MIPS Peaked that fits, it holds the top spot of 54 helmets in Virginia Tech's 2026 table.
If you ride in both a peaked helmet and a jockey skull, Champion makes the X-Air in both, plus a junior model.
If Champion has always been your shape, try any new helmet on before you retire your old one.
If an X-Air fits you better than anything else you have tried, try it beside these picks before you decide.
The Champion Revolve X-Air MIPS is hard to find in the US. Champion's US distribution has ended, and Champion's own store ships to the UK and Ireland. We carry Trauma Void, Equinavia, IRH and TuffRider helmets for riders who need a replacement.
