Training Aids or Accessories

Horse Training Aids can help you and your horse progress towards your goals together. Lunging equipment, including a lunge line, surcingle, lunging cavesson, and side reins are helpful in establishing your horse's balance, suppleness, rhythm, muscle development, and correct contact with the bit. The lunging cavesson can be worn alone or over the horse's bridle. It is designed with three rings at the noseband for attachment of the lunge line and/or side reins. The surcingle is a band of leather or webbing that fits around the horse like a girth and features ring attachments at different areas for side reins or for long lines to go through helping to condition the horse's topline. Padding under the surcingle, such as a surcingle or saddle pad should be used if the surcingle is used directly on the horse's back. When you use horse training aids correctly, they can be an awesome tool for you and your horse to bond together while working towards your horse achieving self-carriage.
