Waterproof Turnouts, from No-Fill Sheets to 400g

Amigo turnouts run from no-fill sheets for rain and wind to 400g heavyweights, in 1200D polyester (including the Bravo 12) and 900D ripstop. Most have a shine-enhancing lining, three cross surcingles, leg arches, reflective strips and hood and liner loops, so you can add a Horseware liner or a hood as the weather turns.

Choose the cut for your horse: the Original's classic straight front, the V-front Plus with a detachable hood, the high-necked Wug for narrow, high-withered horses, the XL for big-bodied horses, or Pony, Petite and Stock Horse sizes.

The Amigo Ripstop Exercise Sheet is a waterproof, breathable 900D ripstop quarter sheet with a full lining and a touch-tape closure at the wither you can open and close from the saddle. For lunging, long lining and the horse walker, the Ripstop 900D Walker Rug adds 100g of fill with a cutaway shoulder.

Who makes Amigo?

Amigo is made by Horseware Ireland, the company behind Rambo and Rhino. It is Horseware's everyday range: Horseware design, quality and fit at a more accessible price.

What fill weights do Amigo turnouts come in?

Amigo turnouts run from no-fill sheets for rain and wind, through 50g and 100g lightweights and 150g to 250g midweights, up to 400g heavyweights. Stable blankets go up to 550g.

What is the difference between Amigo 1200D and Ripstop?

Both outers are waterproof and breathable. The 1200D polyester outer, also used on the Bravo 12, is the stronger of the two. The 900D ripstop weave resists tears and is lighter.

What do Plus, Wug and XL mean?

Plus turnouts come with a detachable hood. The Wug has a high-cut neck for narrow horses with high withers. The XL is proportioned for large-bodied horses such as drafts, cobs and Gypsy Vanners. Amigo also makes Pony, Petite and Stock Horse sizes.

Can I add a liner or hood to an Amigo blanket?

Most Amigo turnouts have liner and hood loops, so you can add a Horseware liner for more warmth or a matching hood for neck coverage. Check the features on each blanket's page.
