EHI describes Equi+Focus as a veterinary developed, magnesium-free amino acid formula for distracted horses in high-stress situations. EHI says it supports mental focus and concentration without losing strength or power. The two formats differ in how EHI says to use them. The paste comes as six 30cc tubes, and EHI's directions are one tube the night before and one the morning of a performance, with more at 24-hour intervals if needed. Original Bit Butter is a 4oz blend of natural butters, essential oils and sweeteners with what EHI calls a mouth softening complex. EHI says it replenishes moisture in dry, callused, unresponsive areas of the mouth and encourages acceptance of the bit; you apply it to the corners of the mouth and the underside of the bit before every ride. The Derby Pelham pairs a copper mouth and two-ring link with stainless steel pelham cheeks. EHI says the copper encourages acceptance, the mouthpiece is thin enough for thick tongues or low palates, and Pro Series Derby bits are proportioned for both horses and ponies.
EHI makes two Pro Series fleece girths, and the choice comes down to the saddle. The Pro Series Fleece Girth is a straight girth; the Pro Series Fleece Stabilizer Girth has a contour shape with a wider middle section that EHI says helps stabilize the saddle. If your saddle tends to shift, that wider middle is the reason to choose the stabilizer; otherwise the straight girth gives you the same fleece lining and elastic.
Both are synthetic girths with double elastic at both ends and a soft fleece lining that EHI describes as ideal for horses with sensitive girth areas. Contrast stitching finishes each one, and the smaller pony sizes carry pink tabs on the elastic.
