Ovation Telluride Winter Tall Boot
I’ve tried boots from every outfitter imaginable. Some were too tight on my calves some were just rigid and inflexible. These boots have been perfect ! They fit with enough flex for me to move around the barn all day long. They’re warm and my feet have been dry despite all the rain. At this price point this is a win win for anyone.
These are best boots I have triedeven better than my custom boots. There was very little if any break in time. I am a Tredstep fan and have worn their Donatello boots up to now so I know how important it is to fit them as tight as possible at the start. They eased out over the first few days and are now really comfortable. Super delighted with them and would highly recommend them

- Tredstep makes the Sirani and Medici II Field Boots in calf widths from XX Slim to Full Plus Plus Plus, in Short, Regular, Tall and X Tall heights.
- For winter, Mountain Horse lines the Men's Rimfrost III with Thermolite and says it keeps feet dry up to the start of the zipper.

These boots are the bomb. They run a bit wide which was good as I normally wear a wide width. I sized up half a size to ensure they would fit. And fit they do - perfectly. I love that there was no break-in time at all, the footbed is soft and supportive and is super comfortable.
Tredstep Medici Air Half Chaps
Great for larger calf sizes and they come up high enough on the side to have a classic dressage look. This is my second pair as I need to replace a snap on my first pair. The leather holds up great as does the zipper.

What are the best dress boots for men?

What are field boots for, and how are they different from dress boots?
Field boots have laces at the front of the ankle; dress boots have a smooth front with no laces. USEF dressage rules require tall boots, including dress or field boots, above Fourth Level (DR120.1.6); in the dressage ring, dress boots are the usual choice. Tredstep cuts its Sirani Field Boots lower at the back for jumping, and Mountain Horse designed its Opus Hunter Boots, a dress-front style, specifically for hunter riders.
