Herm Sprenger 14mm Sensogan French Weymouth

This bit features Weymouth cheeks and a slightly curved sensogan mullen mouth.

A Weymouth is a leverage bit intended to be used in conjunction with a bradoon for upper level dressage. The slightly curved mouth means there is no contact with the sensitive palate, and pressure is transmitted onto the whole tongue and lower jaw. This mouthpiece is ideal for a horse with a small oral cavity.

Sensogan is an alloy of copper, manganese and zinc. Manganese hardens the copper without retarding the oxidation. This allows less copper to be used on the bit.
