Tack of the Day and Bit of Britain buyers and a rider review of the Reflex 3D, in their own words.

Compositi Reflex 3D Wide Track Stirrups

★★★★★

I’m these stirrups are already lesseningvpain in my feet. I thought the lightness would be a problem but it’s actually fantastic. Saddle is lighter. And I’m not losing my stirrups. I also got wide stirrup leathers to see how they work. I bought cheap ones and boy, are they cheap. But enough to tell me to get the nicer ones

Compositi Reflex stirrups: shock absorption for knees and ankles

Compositi Reflex stirrups are built for riders who want less jarring in the knee and ankle. The swivel tread sits on a shock-absorbing layer, and the slim profile is designed for quick foot release in an emergency. Compositi says the Reflex resists shocks and damp, even at low temperatures.

The Reflex 3D Wide Track uses a hi-tech DuPont polymer with an integrated 3D swivel tread and a wider tread for a more secure footing, at 225 grams per stirrup. Riders tell us the cushion shows up in jumping and that the lighter weight does not cost stability.

Compositi Premium Profile and Premium Adult stirrups

The Compositi Premium Profile is a lightweight polymer stirrup with a reinforced grip, high resistance to stress and colored treads that are interchangeable. It comes in a standard adult size, 4.75 inches, and a smaller 4 inch size suitable for kids, in colors from black and burgundy to bright blue, orange, purple and raspberry.

The Premium Adult stirrup is a composite stirrup with a wider foot base, in 4 3/4 inches. A Bit of Britain buyer told us the wider footbed gave more stability than a traditional Fillis iron.

Compositi child's stirrups and Matrix toe cages

The Compositi Profile Child's Stirrup is a lightweight composite stirrup for a young rider, 4 inches wide and 180 grams. The Premium Profile also comes in a 4 inch size.

The Compositi Matrix Adult Toe Cage keeps a foot from slipping all the way through a stirrup. It fits 4 3/4 inch stirrups and attaches to any stirrup iron with a screw-on pad that comes with it.

Compositi stirrup sizing, weight and fit

Compositi sizes stirrups by the width of the tread. Adult stirrups are 4 3/4 inches (4.75 in) and child's stirrups are 4 inches, so a 4.75 inch stirrup suits most adult boots.
