Equine One Hoof Mender
$56.99 - $180.99
Equine One Hoof Mender comes as an oil and as a putty. Both are built on birch bark extract and betulin with omega 3 and vitamins A and D, and the putty is the one you pack into wall cracks, soles, frogs and old nail holes.
Equine One says the Hoof Mender oil fights bacteria and helps moisture levels in the hoof, and that it fills voids and fissures without clogging the pores of the wall. Equine One describes the putty as non-caustic, free of copper sulfate and petroleum-based products, safe to apply without gloves, and usable under hoof pads. Equine One notes that the putty has a distinctive smoky smell that does not mean it is defective.

Equine One EquiDust is a hoof powder and EquiCoat is a skin and coat powder, both made from natural minerals with zeolite, diatomaceous earth, betulin and zinc oxide. Use EquiDust on the hoof and EquiCoat on the coat, in the amounts the label gives.
Equine One says EquiDust promotes hoof firmness and dryness, can be applied once or twice a day, and is safe to use inside hoof boots. Equine One says EquiCoat helps maintain healthy skin and coat, absorbs excess oils and moisture, and relieves minor irritations and itching. Equine One advises that your veterinarian and farrier are the best sources for information on hoof conditions, diseases and injuries, and that EquiDust is not for horses intended for food.

Equine One suits owners who want a hoof kit on the shelf for farrier day and for the weeks between resets.
Equine One says that on a barefoot horse you apply the putty twice a week to areas of concern such as old nail holes, wall defects and cracks. On a shod horse, pull the shoes and apply it at each shoe reset.
CloseEquine One describes the putty as non-caustic and safe to apply without wearing gloves. It has a distinctive smoky smell, which Equine One says does not mean the product is defective.
CloseEquine One says EquiDust is safe to use inside hoof boots and can be applied once or twice a day. Avoid contact with the eyes and excessive inhalation, and consider a mask if you are sensitive to dust.
CloseEquine One bases Hoof Mender on birch bark extract and betulin with omega 3 and vitamins A and D. The putty also contains clinoptilolite and, Equine One says, contains no copper sulfate and no petroleum-based products.
