Who Shires Aubrion is for
Shires Aubrion is for riders who want technical riding clothes that look smart at the barn and in the show ring without show-ring pricing. Shires Equestrian, family-owned since 1968 and based in Leominster, Herefordshire, makes Aubrion as its rider line, and every piece is cut for the saddle: high, wide waistbands on the tights, silicone grip in the seat or knee, moisture-wicking tech fabrics and crease-resistant show coats.
The range covers the whole rider: everyday and winter riding tights, front-zip breeches, base layers, sun shirts and fleeces, waterproof and insulated outerwear, show coats and shirts, gloves, stocks and socks, and luggage for tack and boots. Women's, men's and kids' sizes are cut separately, and much of the range is matched in colors so tops, tights and bags coordinate. Shires Aubrion breeches and riding tights: knee patch or full seat
Aubrion riding tights are pull-on with a high, wide waistband and silicone grip, and Aubrion breeches add a front zip, belt loops and zip pockets. For winter, the Porter Winter Knee Patch Riding Tights are fleecy inside with silicone knee patches, the Winter Riding Tights are brushed inside with a full silicone seat, and the React Winter Tights add a thigh phone pocket.
The Optima line is Aubrion's competition range: the Optima MX Riding Tights have contour support seaming, belt loops for showing and phone pockets on both legs; the Optima PX Breeches have a triple-closure waistband and a contoured full silicone seat; the Optima GX and LX add tonal diamante detail. Riders in the hunter ring choose knee patch; jumpers and dressage riders usually choose full seat for the extra grip. Men's Optima MX breeches come in knee grip and full grip versions, waist 28 to 42.

Shires Aubrion riding tops, base layers and sun shirts
Aubrion tops are tech layers built for riding. The React Winter Base Layer is brushed inside with raglan long sleeves for cold days, the Eltar Base Layer is a slim quarter-zip that works alone or under a coat, and the React Tech Polo is a quick-dry airy knit with a zip neck for warm schooling.
For hot weather, the Revive and React sun shirts use light wicking fabrics, and for the barn and the drive home the Serene sweatshirts and hoodies are cotton-rich and brushed inside. Tops size by the Ladies chart; riders tell us some styles run small, so check your chest measurement before you choose.

Aubrion outerwear is cut for the saddle, with two-way front zips, rider vents and dipped hems. The React Thermal Waterproof Coat is waterproof to 10,000mm with a fleece lining, the Equestrian Winter Coat is padded and fully lined with a hidden pleated rear vent, and the React Insulated Coat uses 127g fill for dry cold.

Shires Aubrion show coats and show shirts for the show ring
Aubrion show coats are stretch and crease resistant, with a hidden zip behind a button placket, so they look pressed after the drive to the show. The Optima MX Show Coat is the traditional four-button coat with flap pockets, the Optima PX Show Coat is sleek with deep back vents, and the Optima GX Show Coat adds tonal diamante and a mesh lining. The Oxford Show Jacket has perforated panels for hot summer classes. Coats are sized by chest in inches: women's 28 to 46, men's 32 to 50, kids' 22 to 32.
Show shirts match the coats. The Newbel Show Shirt has micro-perforated panels and UPF 50+ fabric, the Optima GX Show Shirt has a diamante collar with a discreet quarter zip, and the Winter Show/Hunt Riding Shirt is long-sleeved cotton-rich jersey for cold shows. Aubrion makes gloves for every job. For summer, the Mesh Riding Gloves have breathable mesh backs and synthetic suede palms, and the Aero FlexFit pair open-knit backs with touchscreen tips. For showing, the Leather Riding Gloves are unlined goatskin for close contact. For winter, the Liberty HyperFlex are insulated with Lavalan wool.
For barn chores, the All Purpose Winter Yard Gloves are fleece lined with a waterproof nitrile coat, and the cuff trim is color coded by size: mint XS, purple S, grey M, blue L. Unisex riding gloves run 4XS to XL and kids' gloves S to XL.

Aubrion accessories finish an outfit for the ring or the barn. The Berrington Ready Tied Stock is heavy satin with a pleated front and a diamante keeper band, and the Hampton Ready Tied Stock fastens with a quick adjustable neck strap so it sits right over any high-neck show shirt.
