What riders say about Veredus boots

Riders keep coming back to three things: how long the boots last, how easily they wash and how well they fit.

Veredus STS Vento CarbonGel Open Front Boots

Equifit’s were my favorite for years until I recently purchased the Veredus Carbon Gel Vento set. I haven’t touched my Equifit’s since and don’t plan to, the Veredus ones are amazing and the fit is so much nicer. Not to mention the ventilation is a huge plus.

Veredus Olympus Vento Rear Boots

I really like the Veredus Olympus boots. The next time you watch a Show Jumping GP look at what the horses have on, you’ll notice that a lot are wearing Veredus boots. If they’re good enough for the pro’s they’re good enough for me, plus they hold up really well to everyday use and I can throw them in the wash with my saddle pads to make them look like new for competitions.

Veredus STS Safety Bell Boots

I have a pair of their bell boots that I’ve been using for over a year on my horse during daily turnout and they are the longest-lasting pair of bell boots I’ve ever owned. This horse was destroying bell boots left and right when I moved him to our new barn last year and the Veredus bell boots are the only ones that managed to survive his shenanigans

Veredus Carbon Gel Absolute Front Boots

I LOVE my Veredus Carbon Gel Boots. I only use them to jump and at shows, and I rinse them off every time I use them, so they have held up for the past two years perfectly- no marks on the neoprene liners. The medium fits my large-boned 16.2h TB mare perfectly. I love the tab closures, they are very secure, and they keep my mare’s legs nice and safe from the studs or borium she always has on her hind shoes.

Veredus Carbon Shield Overreach Boots

If you have a little more funds to spend I really recommend the Veredus carbon shield over reach boots I’ve had mine now about a year now.

Veredus Olympus Absolute Front Boots

I have eskadron ankle boots and have been rather unimpressed. I probably won't buy another set. For open fronts I bought the veredus Olympus and love them. Very easy to clean and have held up exceptionally.

Which Veredus boots for which job?

Pick the Veredus boot by the job: open front and ankle boots for the jump ring, lighter boots for schooling, dressage boots, bell boots, and Magnetik boots for the barn. The table shows the line to look at first and styles we carry in each.

The names stack, so here is the key. Vento is Veredus's ventilation system. Carbon Gel and Kevlar Gel name the strike-zone material. Absolute is the wider-shell series. Young Jump boots are built to the weight and size limits for young horse classes, and Save the Sheep (STS) boots have a synthetic sheepskin lining.

Veredus jumping boots: Absolute and Vento

For show jumping, Veredus makes Absolute, Vento and Kevlar Gel open front and fetlock boots, and the jump ring is where it built its name. Absolute is the newer jumping design: Veredus describes the Carbon Gel Absolute Front Boots as made for show jumping and signed by Marcus Ehning, with gel and carbon that run from the flexor tendon to the fetlock in an inverted Y. Olympus Absolute Front Boots carry the same design.

Vento boots vent two ways. Heat from the leg passes through micro-perforated neoprene into a 3D ducted mesh, and air comes in at the bottom and leaves through a grid at the top. Olympus Vento adds an EVA layer over the tendons. Carbon Gel Vento adds carbon fiber strike zones and Nitrexgel, which Veredus says cuts the transmission of shocks and impacts by 40%. Kevlar Gel Vento uses a Kevlar layer instead.

For the hind legs, Veredus describes the Pro Jump Elastic and Pro Jump Active rear fetlock boots as compliant with FEI rules on rear leg protection, and Young Jump boots as built to the rules for young horse classes. Rules change by competition, so check your rulebook before you show.

Veredus cross-country and training boots

E-Vento XC boots are Veredus's cross-country boot. The front boots are waterproof, with a flexible Polyflex polyurethane shell, an EVA foam strike plate and Vento ventilation, and they are made in Italy.

For schooling at home, TR Pro, TRH5 and TRC Vento are the lighter choices. TR Pro and TRPro H5 boots use a thin Polyflex shell over neoprene and Lycra, and Veredus describes them as waterproof and easy to clean; the H5 has 5 cm elastic straps with quick-release tips. TRC Vento is the all-rounder: Veredus built it for show jumping and intensive flatwork at home, with the Vento ventilation.

Veredus Absolute dressage boots

Veredus and Isabell Werth developed the Absolute dressage boots for dressage and flatwork. The Absolute Easy Strap boots use a heavy-duty hook-and-loop closure you can fine-tune, a Polyflex shell, and a neoprene body lined with Lycra, and they are sold in pairs. The Absolute Velcro and Absolute Elastic boots do the same job with a Velcro strap or an elastic strap with quick-release fasteners.

Easy Strap boots come in Medium and Large. The cannon measurements are in the sizing chart below.

Veredus bell and overreach boots

Veredus bell boots are built for the jump ring. STS Safety Bell Boots have a tear-resistant, waterproof synthetic shell, a neoprene lining, a double Velcro closure and a synthetic sheepskin cuff. Safety Bell Light boots use triple-layer closed-cell foam for a lighter boot.

Carbon Shield Overreach Boots and Carbon Shield Heel Protectors cover the heel bulbs with a carbon fiber strike area. Veredus says the Heel Protectors are not recommended for horses with very low heels. Bell boots run Small to X Large; the top and bottom measurements are in the chart below.

Veredus Magnetik, wraps and horse care

After work, Veredus has Magnetik stable boots and wraps, anatomic bandages and horse care. Magnetik boots and wraps carry neodymium magnets. Veredus describes the EVO stable boots for wear up to 24 hours a day and the 4HR stable boots for sessions of no longer than four hours, and advises you to consult your veterinarian before you start any magnetic therapy.

Veredus Anatomic Bandages come in front and rear shapes with a double quilted layer, for a horse that is resting or traveling. B Polo Wraps, B Work Polo Wraps and B Rest Polo Wraps round out the wraps. The horse care range includes hoof care (Golden Hoof, Honey Hoof, Green Hoof, Winter Hoof), gels and clays such as Ice-Gel, Phlo-Gel, Event-Gel and Cool Clay, and shampoos including Blue Snow and Easy White.

Veredus also makes helmets and safety stirrups, which it groups under rider protection (American Horse Publications, 2026).

Veredus boot sizing: cannon circumference

Veredus boots come in Small, Medium and Large, bell boots go up to X Large, and Easy Strap dressage boots come in Medium and Large. Measure around the cannon bone on each leg with a soft tape; front and rear legs take different sizes. This chart is the one Veredus publishes on its Vento, Carbon Gel, Save the Sheep and Young Jump styles. Charts differ by line, so check the one on the boot's page.

About Veredus: made in Italy

Veredus develops and manufactures its horse boots and protective equipment in Italy, and says it has been active in equestrian innovation for more than three decades (American Horse Publications, July 2026). Paolo Menegon is the founder (Equestrian Trade News, December 2024).

The range runs well beyond boots. Veredus lists BioCare horse care, Magnetik recovery and wellness products, and Vita rider protection that includes safety stirrups and helmets (American Horse Publications, July 2026).

In July 2026 Equinavia became the exclusive US distributor of Veredus, effective immediately (American Horse Publications, July 9, 2026). Equinavia also brings us Horze, B Vertigo and Tredstep, and at Tack of the Day you will find Veredus boots in one place: Premium Brands for Less.

Who Veredus boots are for

Veredus suits riders who jump, event or show in dressage and want protection built for the ring. Look elsewhere if your horse measures beyond the Large range on the chart: the riders who report fit trouble are the ones with very large horses (Rider reviews, 2018 and 2024). Also look elsewhere if your veterinarian has prescribed a specific boot.
