Clever water-activated rug designed to aid gentle cooling, to be used in conjunction with other cooling methods such as rehydration, shade, targeted hosing and walking to prevent overheating and dehydration.
Unique water-reactive crystals within the rug liner pockets swell and retain cold when soaked in water. The rug is not fully lined, to aid in evaporation and breathability. The lightweight breathable mesh shell fabric encourages airflow to aid in heat dissipation and evaporation. Before first use, soak for 4 hours to activate the crystals. This rug can be re-activated multiple times by soaking in water. Not suitable for turnout. Never leave your horse unattended during use.
