We started our journey in the equestrian industry over 40 years ago - the same time as many of our top brands were "born". From seeing our first horse show on Long Island to pony ownership and showing in Florida, riding became an integral part of our lives. |

| From working in the Show Offices to being the business manager for one of Florida's top show barns, we learned the ropes. Then on to Virginia where managing a successful tack store and starting one of the first equestrian online stores set the stage for our expertise in equestrian retailing. |

FOR EVERYONE | Along the way, we championed equal access for everyone to our sport with our 1824 plus size brand and No Bounce Equestrian Sports Bras. Following our lead, our industry now offers plus size clothing and sports bras, so we could retire those brands and offer theirs. |

DECADES LONG RELATIONSHIPS | Most of the brands on the site have worked with us for decades. We know their owners and even their children who have replaced them! We are a tiny industry built on trust and integrity. When we go to them for deals, that is the basis we start from. |

Tack of the Day was founded by John Nunn in 2005 and quickly became an instant success. It featured a deal a day that John had deftly negotiated with popular brands.
When John was ready to concentrate his time on his eventing and his Nunn Finer company, he called me one day and said, "Chris, I want Tack of the Day to grow to its full potential in the hands of someone that understands what it is about and who will respect my customers. I want you to take it". And so we did.
We hope we make John proud every day as we work hard to bring special deals to you all - many from those same brands that he negotiated with and lots more that have become popular in the years since then. |

OUR TEAM
Our founder, Chris Duggan, got her start in the equestrian world the way most of us do - through a deep, lifelong love of horses and the sport. What set her apart was what she did with it. Over 40 years in the industry, she built the relationships, the knowledge, and eventually the platform to make great deals available to every rider — not just the ones who happened to live in a well-served area.
The team she's built around her is small by design and experienced by necessity. Most everyone here rides, or has ridden seriously, for decades. We're also a family business in the most literal sense - the people running Tack of the Day live our sport every day of the year!. That's not a marketing line. It's just how we work.
When we say we find the deals we'd want for our own horses, we mean it — because we do. |

Over the years, we've had the privilege of seeing the "birth" of new brands and working with some of the equestrian industry's oldest. Not just in business settings, but on a personal basis as well. Most are as vested as we are in bringing the best products - for horse and rider. In collaboration with them, we were the first to offer the complete collections of all major brands we carry. |
