Shires Dr Bristol Hunter Dee Bit

This bit combines a hunter dee ring with a Dr Bristol flat jointed mouth.

The dee ring provides direct pressure rein contact; the flat sides act like full cheek in keeping the bit from sliding through the mouth. The Dr. Bristol mouth is a multi-joint, so it does not have a nut cracker action on the roof of the mouth. However, the edges of the flat center can exert pressure so it is somewhat more severe than a rounded or lozenge joint.
