Description

This bit features 5" HBT shank cheeks with Myler MB 27PB low port correction mouth. This is a Myler level 2-3 bit.

he MB 27PB is a Myler correctional mouthpiece, which is a ported mouthpiece that collapses onto the outer lip and bars and rotates onto the tongue. The port, although narrow and somewhat low, allows room for the horses tongue to pass under the bit. When the reins are engaged and the mouthpiece rotates onto the tongue, it applies two concentrated points of pressure on the tongue for quick control. Because this port is only 1 1/4" high, it will apply little to no palate pressure. Sweet iron mouthpiece oxidizes and encourages salivation.

The 5" HBT shank is stainless steel and is slightly curved back, with a flat-top purchase and a rein ring. The mouthpiece has a fixed attachment. The HBT shank has the patented Independent Swivel Cheek, where the purchase, mouthpiece, and shank all move independently of each other. The purchase is slightly angled away from the cheek to avoid rubbing. It has an indirect (curb) rein action designed to be used with a curb strap that attaches to the purchase. The HBT shank uses the combination of the fixed cheek and fixed rein to apply pressure to the mouth, chin, and poll.

Features:

  • 5" HBT shank cheeks
  • MB 27PB low port correction
  • Curved mouthpiece
  • Independent side movement
  • Sweet iron with copper inlay
